I have lived in Oklahoma my entire life and I consider Stillwater my hometown. I come from a large family (three brothers and three sisters). My brothers and I played lots of different front-yard sports, but football was always the favorite. I played organized baseball through grade school, football and soccer in high school, and "played" (JV bench) soccer for Oklahoma Wesleyan University during my freshman year of college. After I stopped playing soccer, I transferred to Oklahoma State University and graduated with my B.S. in Political Science in 2020.
"Planet Fitness kinda sucks." -Me, 2021. I had been working out at Planet Fitness on and off throughout college, and I had gotten pretty comfortable there. However, it had limitations and I knew I wasn't moving in the right direction with my fitness. A good friend from college had his CF-L1 and was always talking about the benefits of "functional fitness," so I decided to give CrossFit a try. I love it. I've gotten significantly stronger, learned new skills, and been pushed way out of my comfort zone.
Being a coach is a unique privilege. I get to play a role in helping someone get healthier, move better, set new PRs, and do things they didn't think they were capable of.
